After nearly three decades of development, information construction of national medical institutions has made great progress that has completed various sizes of medical information system. As the institution to provide medical services for patients, hospital plays a very important role in people’s daily lives. With the increase of outpatient in hospital, the existing artificial medical guide management system has been unable to meet treatment needs of patients currently. To meet the demand of patients for high quality medical service, the paper designed a LAN-based comprehensive medical guide system, which aims at saving treatment time of patients and improving the quality of hospital services, and ultimately creating a good medical treatment environment of patients.Comprehensive medical guide system designed by client/server software architecture, include client and data management server, they communicate via LAN. Client system buide relationship model of the symptoms-depaertments based on fuzzy mathematical theory and use fuzzy closenss and neural network technology.System researchs and designs a hospital outpatient comprehensive medical guide system based on the C#programming language, database technology, helps newly diagnosed patients quickly find the registration department and doctors for their symptoms in an unfamiliar environment. System selects the143kinds of symptoms, and identified membership of symptoms in various departments, build a database of symptoms, build a database of department combined with hospital medical institutions information, build a database of hospital doctors combined whth doctors information, use of statistical methods, statistical various sections of the symptoms of the disease, determine the degree of membership in the department of symptoms, build relation of symptoms-departments, departments-doctors, department-disease, the patient can quickly find the departments and doctors by symptoms-departments derivation model. Meanwhile, the system also collected doctors, department, disease, human systems, human body parts and experimental test results and other information, build database, patients can query information of hospital from different angles and different aspects. guide management system uses a remote connection service SQL2008database connectivity through LAN router clients, same time hospital managers can safeguard database base on the updated information of hospitals by database technology.The system for the patients, meets the needs of patients for medical service, it provide detailed information of medical institutions to patients by friendly way, and effective management the relevant data. Successful operation of the system greatly improves the management of the hospital, to facilitate the patients, reduce the workload of the majority of medical staff, improve the hospital’s medical environment and medical services, increasing the income of the hospital, and achieved good economic and social benefits.
