Android mobile phone system is completely open source, with this unique advantages, making all kinds of mobile applications can be run on Android phones. Android applications especially game software are very popular. In the21st century, educational games has been a hot topic in the field of educational technology. In the development of computer technology, comprehensively promote the educational information reform. Design and develop a kind of learning-oriented educational games on the Android platform and assist learning become an effective way to adapt teaching reform, In this paper, starting from the theory of educational games, then analyzes educational game objects and combine academic content, based on the analysis of mobile games development principles and methods, build Android development platform, using J2ME development environment to design a specific educational the role-playing game "Emperor and the Assassin". Aims to expand students’ learning horizons and enrich students’ experience of historical characters’emotion and will in the story, cultivate positive values and worldview of learners.The first part, by reading foreign literature, analysis of the research status of educational games, summarizes the research background and significance of educational games for mobile phones. Write a literature review of educational games and learn basic theory of educational mobile games.The second part describes the current classification of phone’s educational games. Make qualitative comparison to traditional games, then find out the absolute strengths and weaknesses of educational mobile games. Based on understanding the principles and general approach of educational mobile games’design, make overall design and detailed design on the educational game "Emperor and the Assassin".The third part make a brief introduction to Android development platform and build process of platform environment. Focus on describing the function implementation of educational mobile games. Including the main menu interface, characters’moving and dialogue, the characters’fighting, and data of the items.The fourth part summarizes the main work of research, noting the lack of research and the accordingly recommendations on future research. |
