Research On Web Content Adaptation Oriented To Mobile Terminal

In recent years, with the speedy development of mobile communications, intelligent mobile terminal is gradually popular, more and more people have intelligent mobile phone, using intelligent mobile terminal access the Internet. Due to the most of Internet resources is used for the PC currently, the effect is not ideal by using mobile terminal directly, it is difficult to display properly Webpage content,affected by the screen size, resolution and application environment. For a new website,we can develop two systems,a system for the PC terminal and another for the mobile terminal. But for the situation of a large number of internet resources have already existed, it will consume a lot of manpower,and material resources, which is undoubtedly a huge waste.The most popular solving method is page conversion technology,with some tools and some rules to converting the existing webpage document, reconstructing the layout of webpage, so that the amount of information and forms of organization in accordance with the characteristics and requirements of small screen devices,so as to adapt to display properly on the mobile terminal. This method avoids the reconstruction process, and it can make full use of existing resources,which is an effective an workable way.In the current systems basing on the page conversion technique,there are some problems,more or less. Some conversion systems have justly replaced some html labels, while others identify the access terminal not well,only distinguish PC,tablet PCs,and smart phones,although some Web resources are maked the appropriate adapter treatment,but they are not taked into account the restructuring of the converted,so that users do not have a good browsing experience.To solve the above problems,this article researchs the web content adaptation oriented to mobile terminal based on the research background of the mobile terminal surf the Internet resources.This article’s research content are summarized as follows:(1) This paper is started with a simple overview about the web content adaptation oriented to mobile terminal,from the background, significance and research status at home and abroad. On the theory and technology of mobile terminal in web content adaptation are introduced, including DOM, XML, VIPS algorithm.(2) This paper research on the three aspects of mobile terminal type adaptation, adaptation decision engine, navigation structure formation mechanism.The mobile terminal type recognition is about the accessing terminal type identification, obtaining the equipment parameters; the adaptation decision engine is mainly to adapt web resources (including text, pictures, Flash) according to the mobile terminal parameters; the navigation structure generation mechanism is mainly to generate the navigation system for the different webpage structures.(3) This paper design an implement the prototype system based on proxy server, and introduces the various modules and the operation process of proxy server. We test the system,and the result shows that the system is designed reasonably, and each module is working correctly.It meets the basic functional requirements, and we can use the system to browse the Internet resource conveniently.
