Grain is the important basis for man’s survival and the safekeeping of grain is a very important issue related to not only the nation’s economy but also the people’s livelihood, and it has very important social and economic value. In order to prevent abnormal temperature and humidity of grain in storage process, resulting in the great loss of grain and grain storage managers need to monitor the temperature, humidity, and other parameters of grain in the granary in real time. The granary monitoring system starts using the computer to collection, analyze and process the information in the granary due to the rapid development of computer technology, saving the manpower and improving the management efficiency. In recent years, with the gradually popularization of the smart phone and3G network, using mobile phone as the equipment of mobile office automation attracts more and more attentions. The introduction of Android makes the granary monitoring technology have more development space in the basis of original technology, extending the network to the mobile platform and making it more convenient for users to obtain information.This thesis designs an intelligent monitoring Android client for grain storage with user login, management, real time monitoring, historical data inquiry and every given time interval’s temperature trends display functions, which has simple and friendly interface and is easy to operate, and it enables users to monitoring temperature information of grain remotely anywhere at any time. This design focuses on the lightweight level and relational database SQLite integrated in Android system which supports basic SQL language for the intelligent granary monitoring client need to process large volumes of data. Its characteristics include high efficiency, independence, quick inquiry and small costs etc, and it can also be accessed by multiple processes simultaneously. This thesis first introduces the architecture design of the intelligent granary monitoring system. And then it details the function design of the intelligent granary monitoring Android client. Finally it mainly illustrates the design of SQLite database in intelligent granary monitoring client on Android including the design of structure and program and the creation of the database and table, and introduces the operation method of various data in the database in detail, and finally introduces the security design of the database for weak security mechanism of SQLite.The biggest characteristic of the intelligent granary monitoring Android client designed in this thesis is the realization of data communication, monitoring and display, and focuses on how to realize the operation of various data using SQLite database at the same time.
