With the ever increasing importance of software products to the whole society, software users are demanding much higher software quality than before. At the same time, large-scale modern software and huge complexity in software architecture cause intractability of providing reasonable quality in commercial software. Software quality problem is getting more hard-pressed. Along with a growing awareness of software quality, many software developers have increased the proportion of expenditure on software texting in R&D process. The cloud computing platform has dynamic scalable massive resources, which can reduce the test time cost. The automated testing also has many merits, such as:rapid, comprehensive, reliable, programmable, reusable, etc., which can effectively remedy an unfavorable situation of the manual test, a combination of both technology is a solution to improve software test cycle and the quality of the test solution. This paper is aimed at establish the automated test platform over cloud.First, this paper introduces the research background, the current research progress and the significance of the research. Second, the study introduces the key technology and tools used in the project including the CloudStack, the Selenium, TestNG and so on. Third, according to the software engineering development process, this paper studies the needs of the cloud testing platform to put forward the functional requirements, and to design the project’s overall architecture, portal, backstage, database. Fourth, the project carries out a detailed design. Finally, this article fully shows the test process on the cloud testing platform.
