With the rapid development of robot technology, the study of simple imitatehuman bipedal walking humanoid robot has already developed to comprehensivesimulation of human behavior, which has the characteristic of human beings andeasy to adapt the human environment,also they could provide services for humanbeings. The field of humanoid robot in the service, entertainment and other fieldof direct contact with humans,have obvious advantages, hence, it requires therobots have ability of identification, communication and interpret emotionswhich made them become more powerful. Nowadays the research of emotionalrobots have attracted widely attention, and gradually becoming a popularresearch subject in robotic research, specially in body language and expression ofemotions, which become a new direction in the field of robotic research.Thisstudy combines emotion model, body language, and the mechanical structure, hasan important theoretical effect on the research of affective robot.Firstly, according to the physical characterization of the robot when the robotto express emotion to analysis body language, which make robots to expressfeelings through series active; Introducing the structure design of the robot,which includes joint types, degrees of freedom configurations, and usingSolidworks to establish three-dimensional model for robot.Secondly, comparison and analysis of the existing emotion model and theemotion theory, according to the categories and the strength of the degree ofemotional expression,put forward an improved model. And put the quantitativeemotion into the emotional eigenvalue equation to achieve the judgment ofvarious feeling.Finally, due to the design goals of the robot emotional body languageexpression system, put forward the design scheme, based on Matlab GUI toestablish expression system, applying experiments to test if this model is true, and collect experimental data, analyse result.Through the experiment, the body language of emotional expression isreasonable, the expression system interface is clear and intuitive, the animationreading effect is good, and the operation is stable.The result shows that theestablishment of emotional improvement model is reasonable and feasible, andproposes a new scheme for the study of affective robot, has the vital significance.
