In the modern warfare, for the air targets or ground targets, the missile has become a powerful weapon like the existence of tyrannosaurus rex. Therefore, how to detect the threats earlier, prevent the attack of missile has become the most important challenge in the modern war. In the early90s, the ultraviolet warning as a kind of new type warning way more and more be used to find and defense threat. The development of ultraviolet warning is more and more quickly. As a new photoelectric warning technology, ultraviolet warning are playing an increasingly important role in the field of optoelectronic countermeasuresUltraviolet (UV) warning technology has been widely applied in missile a approach warning. On the basis of user requirement, a solar blind ultraviolet warning optical system is designed for a wavelength range from240nm to280nm. In order to improve the luminous flux、expand the search scope and simplify system structure, an aspheric and a binary optical elements have been used to. In this paper the initial optical date is based on the existing literature that the relative aperture is1:4, the field of view30°, and consists of6pieces of lenses. As a result, the optical system is reduced to five pieces of lens, the field of view is extended to40°, and the relative aperture is increased1:3. PIXIS2048BUV UV CCD is applied as a detector, its pixel is13.5μm×13.5μm. Image quality evaluation results show that this solar blind ultraviolet warning optical system is of high energy concentration, and spot size is smaller than the pixel size of CCD, which are satisfied to the requirement of application. The system has the advantages of large field of view and large relative aperture, and its technical characters are superior to the existing solar blind UV warning optical system.
