In recent years, people have more and more demand for intelligent car with the development of the society.And the key of intelligent car development lies in the control method, Due to the fractional order control method has good control performance and robustness, People began to try to make it applied to intelligent car of the control.In this article, we mainly discuss the fractional order controller which is applied to the in intelligent car servo system application. This paper introduces the theory of fractional order calculus knowledge concisely; Building intelligent car servo system based on the physical mechanism, and calculating the mathematical model of the controlled object; And, design out of the three kinds of controller in view of the intelligent car servo system, They are the traditional integer order PID controller, fractional order PI controller, and the fractional order [PI] controller; The result of step response from the MATLAB/Simulink simulation show that:Fractional order PI controller and the fractional order [PI] controller have better control performance than the traditional integer order PID controller; Then join disturbance signal in the system, to test it’s stability and robustness. From the simulation and analysis to the result, we see that, two kinds of fractional order PI controller are able to improve the system stability and control precision, and they are good to meet the requirement of system robustness. Among them, the fractional order [PI] controller performance is superior to fractional order PI controller.
