Vision measurement is a multi-technique related technologies including computer vision theory, optics, optoelectronics, image processing, pattern recognition, signal and data processing, computer technology, etc. With the development of computer technology, vision measurement technology has made great progress, and has been widely used in various fields. Besides, the measurement methods of pose position and orientation based on monocular vision measurement has advantages of being simple system structure, rapid measuring speed and low cost, among which, it’s widely applied in multiple scenarios.In this thesis, on the basis of the monocular vision measurement theory, theory and method for camera imaging, camera calibration, PNP issue and image processing is lucubrated, based on these theories, the measurement model of the system is built. With the design of the system measurement scheme and the selection of experiment devices and the study of the system algorithm completed, the pose position and orientation measurement system for shell is completely designed. After the experimental platform is built by using the selected experiment devices, image acquisition and processing and pose position and orientation parameters calculation can be finished, sequentially, so as to realize the pose position and orientation measurement of shell, and study out a set of pose position and orientation measurement system for shell, which can realize the real time monitoring on the pose position and orientation of shell solve the problem as the shell shaking in the transportation process. In addition, in the process of image processing and pose position and orientation parameters calculation, the Matlab software is used to realize the algorithms for the system to calculate the correct pose position and orientation parameters of shell.
