With the development of the internet technology, the online vehicle license platenumber selecting system is increasingly being accepted by people due to its free-selectingmode and humanization. However, the amount of the occupied license plate numbers isincreasing because of its limited quantity. The conventional license plate number selectingsystem is restricted by the invariable selecting method, the time limitation and the limitedselecting opportunities, leading to a lowered success rate of a rapid and satisfied selection.Therefore, it is very important to design an efficient on-line license plate number selectingsystem, which possesses great use value and practical significance.In this thesis, an improved license plate number selecting system is designed, and threeselecting methods are proposed. The first is to select the number consecutively from left toright and choose the satisfied numbers; this can assure a successful and satisfied selectionif the owners do not have special requirement on the numbers. The second one can bedepicted as the approximate query method, which analyzes the rule of the numbers inputby the owner and provides similar numbers from the database according to the same rule.Lastly, the owner can input the numbers at the locations they desire, and the system willprovide the other numbers using the pre-input numbers as basic query condition; theprovided numbers and the pre-input numbers make the final series, which is called thefuzzy query method.The developing process of the self-selecting license plate number system is introducedin detail. The practical situation of the demand is considered and the frame structure andthe data base structure are shown. Furthermore, the functional module are developed indetail and finally realized. The present system is developed in C#based on the B/S modeunder the environment of VisualStudio2010and SQL Server2005. The system is realizedwith the technical support of ASP.NET, ADO.NET, JQuery, Ajax and JavaScript. Aftersystem test, it is proved that the system meets the design requirements, possessing anopened structure and characteristics of easy expanding and maintaining with a friendlyhuman-computer interaction interface. These are beneficial for the routine maintenance,function expansion and secondary development.
