With the progression of information revolution, people began to be exposed tothe network world, and obtain various information around the world quickly viaportals. Portals such as Netease, Sohu and Sina’s products, are featured by a largequantity of content, a full range of information, complexity of website structure,accurate information in time, etc. Yet, with the development of informationtechnology and the change of users’ habits, major portals began to show somelimitations in further development as follows. Firstly, there exist information overlap,waste of resources and indistinct differences among the protals currently. Secondly,users’ demand for information is greatly exceeded by what is supplied, thus they tendsto get lost in the vast ocean of information. Thirdly, personalized communicationweapons represented by micro-blog are undergoing competition.The subject of this paper comes from a real project—"TouTiao" website(referring to a certain part of content designed in the "TouTiao" website). It is acomprehensive information website, aimed at resolving the problem of informationoverlap and users’ getting lost in the information ocean which portals are currentlyfaced with. By relying on techniques such as mining analysis of data and studyingusers’ interest,"TouTiao" website helps its users to quickly obtain accuratepersonalized information, and to interact with friends based on information content orevaluation. Meanwhile, this website is added with a social function, that is, users areallowed to follow or@friends, and share information or comments collectedrespectively in a real-time manner. Therefore,"TouTiao" website is a combination ofrecommending users personalized information and social functions.Combining the project of "TouTiao" website design, this paper mainly introducesthe implementation process of this project, with the interaction and interface design inthis process as a focus. Its project workflow involves the following aspects: theformation of concept at the preliminary stage, research on users, interaction design,interface design, pre-test within an inner group as well as optimization iteration.During the concept stage, research on the target market and its target users, and alsoanalysis of competing products for information reading have been conducted, finallybased on which the development orientation for "TouTiao" website products isanalysed. In the phase of research on users, methods including users interviews and questionnaires are adopted, and the role of users are thus established. Within theinteraction design stage, information structure, website prototype and interactiondetails of this project website are explained, by way of analysing competing products,input and output of interactive document. Within the interface design stage, theoverall interface design of the project is completed. Finally, the project is put into apre-test, during which testers as well as users test the beta version of this websitebased on the the beta script and give feedback. Then the product is developed andoptimized iteratively, and ultimately the website is subscribed.
