Design And Implement Of Surveillance Camera With Face Recognition

In recent years, more and more video surveillance devices have been placed in factories, schools, residential areas and other places to keep people safe, and have played a role. However, we found that in many cases the surveillance video record we got is not clarify enough, and its resolution is low. HD surveillance cameras have a high resolution, but the large amount of data and the big bandwidth make these data hard to storage or transmit, this makes the intelligent processing following it more difficult. Because of this, researching of surveillance cameras that can capture clarify and high-quality video and can have the intelligent processing functions will be of great significanceIn this paper, we researched the face detection and recognition technology based on the surveillance video and designed an intelligent camera that can preliminarily analysis the content of the video during capturing on the front-end of the camera. We realized an prototype camera system depending on two independent DSPs, put the autofocus function and other lens-controlling functions on the controller DSP to improve the video quality and the face detection and recognition function on the video processing DSP. These algorithms have been optimized and the processing speed has been largely improved. This work will be a reference for the research of intelligent surveillance cameras.
