With the development of wireless communication technologies, cognitive radio becomes more and more popular and receives wide attention as a smart spectral share technology because of it can increase the spectral efficiency and solve the spectrum tense. For maximizing the usage of vacant spectrum and minimizing the interference to primary user, spectrum sensing of cognitive radio requires high accuracy when there has primary user emulation attacks (PUEA). So, the correct detection of primary user emulation attacks is of great importance in the application of cognitive radio. This paper starts form the survey of PUEA detection, and evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of current detection algorithms. Besides, we describe key technologies and application of the distributed message passing algorithm and compressive sensing.Since different character emulation requires device has different performance, PUEA emulate the energy of primary user in most cases. This paper propose a two-phase detection algorithm to detect PUEA, and study further on the cooperative detection problem. We realize the information share and coordination of cognitive radio users by introducing the distributed message passing algorithm in the detection process. Besides, we prove the energy detection function in the distributed cognitive radio networks has log-convex characteristic. Based on log-convex property, we turn this cooperative energy detection problem a non-liner convex problem. In addition, aiming at high deployment cost of information collection sensor networks and complex of information data processing in location aware detection algorithm, we propose adaptive orthogonal matching pursuit algorithm to reduce the network infrastructure and keep high detection accuracy under changing detection environment.
