Design And Implementation Of College Student Information Management System

With the rapid development of computer and network technology, informatization is sweeping across the world. The popularization of the internet brought about the overall development of and significant change in management modernization, as well as great impact on college student management. The student information management system that involves computer and network technology is in line with the informatization and digitization trend in colleges, and has greatly improved the efficiency and level of information management compared to traditional ways. It shows its superiority especially when processing formularized and intricate information. Therefore, colleges are in urgent need of a suitable student management system to improve their management level.The Dissertation firstly analyzes the current situation of and problems in college student management, and reveals the objective and significance of developing student management system. Then, it introduces the techniques of ASP.NET and Access database as the key techniques of student information management system, demonstrating that it’s technically feasible to develop a student information management system based on ASP.NET. The thesis provides the function flow diagram of the system based on its development objectives, design discipline, and analysis of its function and requirement, further designs the system in detail, and confirms the three-tiered B/S structure of the system. The thesis designs the main functional modules and database of the system in detail, and explains the setting of the main data sheets of the database, as well as the standardized design of the sheets. The "system application" part of the thesis mainly introduces the application of main modules, such as system login, student enrollment management, student performance management, and curriculum management. Lastly,the thesis summarizes the work done to develop and apply the system, which the author took part in, points out some deficiencies within, and looks into the prospect of the further development of student information management system.
