With the continuous improvement of computer and Internet technology, the security of embedded system is paid more attention around the academy as well as industry, and becomes an important problem of the network security. The author adopts the technology of firewall to improve the security of embedded system, uses the IPSec VPN and SSL protocol technology effectively to deal with the reliability problem of network transmission for the embedded system.In the safety performance of embedded system, the author builds a firewall and presents a binary Trie tree algorithm of the Firewall filtering rules matching, it can improve its throughput in a large number of matching rules state. In the aspect of reliability of Embedded Network, the author studies the defects of present network security mechanism, pushes the IPSec protocol and VPN technology to realize organic unification, formulates the IPSec VPN protocol related rules, discusses the use of AES encryption algorithm、SSL protocol in embedded system, deeply explores the application system structure, advantages and actual operation.This paper gets some data from practical applications, uses the embedded network firewall based on ARM9and embedded Linux to test the improved filtering rules of binary Trie tree matching algorithm, tests the average throughput of the number of too much computer network transmission and the average response time by local area network, effective verifies their safety and reliability.
