With the rapid development of the network communication, video monitor andthe urban modernization, the traditional urban management models have become aserious obstacle of urban development. Faced with the urban management issues, suchas the huge population, great fluidity of city population, complicated social securitysituation and so on, the urban security comprehensive information system can provideadequate data for the relevant departments, support management innovation and achieveurban management mode networked, informatization, intelligentialization. Videomonitoring and management system is the core of urban security comprehensiveinformation system. Due to the characteristics and needs of the video monitoring andmanagement system, such as the large amount of data, storage, large amount ofcomputation and real-time requirements and so on, how to ensure system performancerequirements, especially the massive data storage and load balancing to guarantee thesystem stability and availability becomes a hot research topic. Therefore, based on thecloud computing and the actual application of the urban video surveillancemanagement, this thesis presents a video monitoring and management mechanismbased on cloud techology.Thesis focuses on the reseach and implement of the system architecture and keytechnologies of the video monitoring and management system based on cloud techology.On the one hand, the system can automatically allocate resources to meet the user’sservice requirements and improve resource utilization; On the other hand, consideringload balancing service requirements, the system can provide better quality of serviceand scalability. Performance test and analyses demonstrate that the proposed videomonitoring and management system based on cloud technology can satisfy theapplications requirements of current urban management, optimize the system platformmanagement mode better, improve the resource utilization and enhance the scalabilityand availability of the whole system.The major contributions of this thesis are outlined as follows:1) The actual needs of urban security and system functions have been analyzed.Moreover, the architecture model and service model of video monitoring andmanagement platform based on cloud services has been built. Furthermore, we design the overall system process and network architecture.2) The detail design of the system has been implemented. Firstly, the system’sbusiness functions, database table structure, system security, storage server systemarchitecture, the file reading and writing control of the storage server system have beendesigned. Secondly, the video capture client and video viewing capabilities of the clientmodule are implemented, which can store and read the massive video data really, meetuser requirements of the video recording, quering, etc.3) The load balancing demand has been analyzed. Firstly, the details of the overallarchitecture, information collection and analysis of load balancing have been designed.Secondly, we also provide the certification service, IP control, data encryption anddecryption to ensure the system security. Thirdly, the performance of load balancing hasbeen tested and anlyzed.4) Thesis summarizes the research work and achievements, then looks forward tothe next step in the direction of research and the problems to be solved.
