With the development of science technology and society, Global Navigation SatelliteSystem is playing more and more important role in the society life and economics. GlobalNavigation Satellite System, including China BD Navigation satellite, European GALILEO,Russia GLONASS and America GPS, are all applied in area of Navigation, PositioningTiming and Speed successfully. A single satellite system has less number of satellites, lesssatellite cause signal coverage is limited in the space, so the services accuracy provided by asingle satellite system will be reduced, As a result, Multimode navigation system withhigh-accuracy positioning and highly speed are developing in a high speed.Multimode navigation system requires that Navigation Satellite antenna works betweenGPS, GALILEO and BD these three frequency bands, cover range are2.49175GHz and1176.450MHz~1625.5MHz. The second frequency’s relative bandwidth reaches29%, andwork in the right circular polarization mode. Microstrip antenna has many advantages thatother antennas don’t have, so has a wide range of applications in today’s antenna design,Microstrip antenna becomes the first choice of Global navigation satellite system antennadesign.First, this paper introduces the requirements of GPS, GALILEO and BD these threeNavigation Satellite Systems towards antenna’s band width, working frequency, circularpolarization. And then does some analysis on the basic theory about Microstrip antenna andsome model analysis methods and numerical analysis methods. Discuss various factors whichrestrict the Multi-band, band width and circular polarization of antenna. Study methods ofhow to increase the Multi-band, band-width and circular polarization of Microstrip antenna.Using HFSS simulation on the antenna S parameters, voltage standing wave ratio, directionmap, day spool than and other related parameters. In order to realize the design of Doublefeed point’s feed network, by using ADS software, this paper design a Wilkinson powerdivider of wide band’s dual-band. This Wilkinson power divider can work favorably in thefrequency of1.4GHz and2.49175GHz.This paper starts from band-width of antenna, Design a kind of circular polarizationMicrostrip patch antenna. By using double-layer overlapping patch and slotting U-shaped slotunder the patch, realizes the antenna band-width characteristics. Using double feed point tomake antenna’s working way of circular polarization come true, at the same time, usingWilkinson power divider of Dual-band to feed. Simulation results show that antenna’s impedance relative bandwidth between the first frequency range reaches30%.3dBband-width of the axial ratio reaches35%, to sum up, we know that the antenna index hasreached the shared receiving antenna design requirements of GPS/GALILEO/BD’s frequencyband.
