Multi-sensor data fusion also called data fusion is the all-round and multi-level processof detecting the multiple-sensor’s feature, combining it’s results, associating it’s target andmaking inference and association of status. The purpose of data integration is to achieveaccurate guess of the target state, the state of the environment and make the right judgments.The applications of data fusion become more extensive, in the real world, a large number ofcomplex environment all can be fused, analyzed and represented by multi-sensor. Lies in itsmethod as well as the principle of multi-sensor data fusion, therefore, for grasping its methodsand principles of literacy are essential.This article first briefly describes the background and significance of the multi-sensordata fusion, and it’s domestic and international development status. Then, the details of thebasic principles of the multi-sensor data fusion, summarize model level and application areasof the data fusion, summed up the basic method of data fusion and making detailedclassification. And focus on the D-S evidence theory fusion method and fuzzy set theoryfusion method is described in detail, including the basic principles, the fusion rules, the rangeof applications as well as the existence of practical problems. Finally, to further explore thequo status of problem of target recognition and status detection, as well as the problem ofapplications in relevant aspects of multi-sensor fusion technology, and eventually proposedfusion method that is D-S evidence theory based on fuzzy weighted according to the existingresearch methods, making formula it has better fusion effect detail than other methodsaccording to the existing theory fusion. At the same time, make the Matlab simulation in thewindows system, making experimental comparison of several fusion methods mentioned andthe new method proposed in the paper, experiments show that the fusion algorithm onevidence theory fusion based on fuzzy weighted support can improve the efficiency of fusionsystem, and reduces the time overhead of the algorithm in the case where the same number ofdata sources, improving the fusion speed of the algorithm.
