As we know, the rapid development of computer technology and the coming of age of theInternet, open a new chapter of people’s way of life. Alone with Internet world graduallydeveloped, people’s needs in life are constantly changing. In the age of big data, because of highspeed data (such as video streaming)transmission and specific services become the mainstream, network environment has changes correspondingly. With the network has a feature of highbandwidth delay product, congestion control has become one of the major concerns again. Andthe traditional TCP congestion control mechanism shows many insufficiencies of performance inthe stormy billows of the network environment change.Aiming at the problems, many Chinese and foreign scholars have done a lot of research oncongestion control mechanism in the new environment. Some of scholars have carried on theresearch of congestion control algorithm based on the source end, and improve the research onthe original TCP protocol. They has obtained certain achievement. And another part of thescholars take link into consideration and put the indication of congestion feedback intorouter. This operation introduces communication network to the congestion controlmechanism, and then the data sender can receive informations of current network status explicitly.Through a large number of experiments and theoretical analysis, explicit congestion indicationshows its superiority. With its high performance,XCP wins the favor of scholars, and becomesthe new trend of network congestion control in the new network environment. This paper deals with the basic principles of congestion control and the working principle oftraditional TCP protocol in the network, and then revaluation the TCP protocol based on thecurrent network environment. With the appearance and development of high bandwidth delayproduct network, TCP protocol can’t keep the system working efficiently, so it is impossible touse the resources quickly and efficiently. At the same time, because of the emergence of newapplication requirements, the fairness of the data flow becomes more and more important. But the traditional TCP protocol cannot well realize fair distribution for each data stream,.This becomesthe bottleneck of TCP protocol in the new network environment development. In addition, TCPprotocol can not guarantee the stability of the system in the network of high bandwidth delayproduct.TCP protocol makes the network in the jitter easier, and leads to networkcongestion, even collapse, easier. Traditional congestion control met the challenge in the newnetwork environment, and the emergence of explicit congestion indication allow scholars tofound a new research direction. In this paper, the explicit congestion indication has detailedexplanation. This paper describes the working principle of XCP from a macroscopic degree. As a keypart of XCP agreement, XCP router’s work is mainly divided into two parts. Ensuring efficiencyand fairness are done by efficiency controller and fair controller respectively. Afterunderstanding the importance of computing resource utilization, this paper describes twodirection of studying, parameter analysis and expanding bandwidth analysis. In addition, thispaper proposes a new method of calculation of network resources. Network simulation showsthat the new algorithm can make better use of network resource. After the analysis, simulation, and improvement of XCP, we analyze XCP protocol in theangle of cybernetics. Ordinary differential equation is used to describe system, and we take thetime delay into consideration. Then using the Lyapunov method, we get the conditions thatensuring the system’s stability.
