Semiconductor laser is attacted more and more attention because of its exellent characteristics, such as small volume, big power and high efficiency, etc. However, the beam quality of semiconductor laser is poor, generally, it can not be used directly, therefore, explore improve semiconductor laser beam quality methods has been the focus of research. This paper carry out research on the semiconductor laser collimation and plastic, systematically introduced the method of semiconductor laser single emitter fast axis alignment and array plastic. As for fast axis beam collimation, we studied the column lens exist position deviation by using Zemax software, analyzed all the factors of height deviation and angular deviation. In addition, we analyzed the relationship between the collimation deviation and output beam quality of laser. The polarization beam combined has been studied, the system of a polarization has set up by software. Then, we build a optical system to accomplish the two polarization of the laser beam combined beams, and further achieve the fiber coupling output. Finally, the main reasons of coupling efficiency loss were discussed, then puts forward the improvement measures.
