Warehouse is a storage type of logistics facilities. Its function mainly includes, realizing large quantities of material importing and small quantities of material exporting, changing the product distribution mode of enterprise, saving product transportation costs, reserving products, improving the supply capacity of enterprise. When expanding customer market, the enterprise may inevitably face the problems such as more widely distributed customers, more frequencies and fewer quantities of product demands, higher requirements on service level from customers. Under such situation, enterprise may definitely consider constructing regional warehouses in areas where customers are located, allocating the location of warehouses, storage strategy and product distribution mode. Thus, a storage network of enterprise can be constructed, which can guarantees products be distributed to customers more rapidly and effectively, the out-of-stock situation be reduced.The thesis focused on the storage network allocation of marketing enterprise, the main works were as followed.First of all, the facility location theory was summarized. Meanwhile, the classic facility location modeling was introduced, as well as the problems which the modeling is applicable to.Secondly, based on the marketing enterprise’s actual situation, the steps of storage network allocation implementation were given, which stated what kind of problems would be processed and how to solve such problems when constructing storage network, as well as what kind of works should be done before locating warehouse, which included the data analysis, the demand forecast and the storage strategy decision.Thirdly, two facility location modeling were formulated. Modeling1was based on certain environment and considering EOQ storage strategy, which is applicable to stable demands. Modeling2was based on uncertain environment and considering (Q,r) storage strategy, which is applicable to fluctuant demands. The modeling took the storage costs into account, made the relevant storage strategy to minimize storage cost, which can guarantee the optimization of total cost.Finally, a genetic algorithm based on repeated natural number coding was applied to solve the problem. The result illustrated the feasibility and validity of the modeling and algorithm. Besides, the influence of the main cost parameters on the total cost was compared and analyzed by adjusting the variables in modeling, which provided scientific guidance on the storage network allocation of marketing enterprise.
