FMS is short for Flexible manufacturing system, meaning the highly automatic manufacturing system. In this paper, we are going to clarify how the test and installation link——Five-dimensional manipulator assembly system will work in a FMS, the one that can highly automatically function transition, processing, examination, installation, storage and monitoring. In order to meet the requirement of high accuracy of determining the quality in practice, based on the machine vision technology, this system, by being equipped with Siemens S7-200PLC controller and Siemens position control module EM253and employing Eigenvalue Method, could be regarded as well round machine vision technology and will check the quality by photo processing tech. In addition, the impulse delivered by the system will control stepper motor, servo motor and its drive to determine the exact position of the parts so that to make the position much more precisely.But there are still many obstacles on the way forward perfection such as how to choose the hardware instrument and set the structure of the whole system, how to apply the position controller EM253, step motor/servo motor and image transducer, and how to design programs for S7-200PLC. In this paper, I am going to take the FMS with the core controller S7-200PLC as the example and propose creative answers to those questions in detail after taking close eyes on related hard or software.l.For the structure of the five dimensional manipulator assembly system:firstly I will portrait the whole structure of the system including hard and software, and then set the functions for different parts based on the targets2.For the application of EM253position controller:the first step is to determine the electrical schematic diagram, with this is done, I will set the indicators to fit the whole system with the help of position control module wizard software.3.For the application of step motor/servo motor:I will carry out the design process of setting the indicators from those of step motor/servo motor to those of the system as a whole.4.For the application of image transducer:the main solution is to determine the way to test and stabilize the testable signal.5.For the program design of system S7-200PLC:with the proficiency in STEP7-Micro/WIN application software, I will create a new program to fit the procedure and all the requirements of the system.It turns out that the method can not only meet the two requirements mentioned above, but also guarantee the production efficiency. Without doubt, it will bring a lot benefit once put into practice.
