Mobile Ad Hoc Network (MANET) is consisted of several portable terminals. Nodes in the network cooperate with each other to construct the network and forward messages without the help of infrastructure. It’s really suitable for condition infrastructureless or infrastructure can’t work.Because of centerless, self-organization and some other characteristics, the security threats faced by MANET is really different with the traditional networks, Some security technologies used in the traditional network is also not suitable in MANET. Meanwhile, key management is the base of MANET’s secure structure, and play vital important role in ensureing access secutity, data confidentiality and integrity. To meet the requirements of distributed key management, this acticle make some modifications on a typical discrete logarithm certificateless encryption plan, and then develop software to make verifications on this plan.The main work of this paper is as follows.(1)First, we give details on the concept of MANET, features, applications, security threats and so on. Then give brief overview on cryptography, mathematical principles as well as some existing MANET key management methods related to this article.(2)Give fully analysis on a typical discrete logarithm certificateless encryption plan, which shows that this plan could not being used on MANET key management directly for the sack of computing constraints. To solve this problem, we propose some improvement based on dual-key pair. We proved that the improved scheme can satisfy both security and distribution requirements by derivation formula. At last, we propose a complete dual-key based on the discrete logarithm certificateless public key cryptosystem, and gives the safety analysis.(3)Gives a fully certificateless distributed key management scheme based on discrete logarithm, including system initialization, node access, symmetric encryption, asymmetric encryption, and signature and so on. At last, we give performance analysis of this system, which point out that the advantage of this plan is having lower computational complexity, higher execution efficiency, and better equipped feasibility.compared with existing bilinear key management schemes.(4)We finished the design of MANET key management system software and make intuitive logic verification and functional verification on our key management plan, which shows that MANET discrete logarithm certificateless key management system proposed in this article is really effective and feasibleAt last, we give a summary to this article, and point out the existed deficiencies of the current study, as well as some issues worth study in the future.
