Existing image tracking system by PC (Personal Computer) or IPC (IndustrialPersonal Computer) will be back on track after host image processing, it obviously has alot of inadequate. Images of the large amounts of meaningless information needs to theserver processing, it increases the volume of data communication. It is the image of thetransmission, which reduces the effect of real-time tracking system. The image in theprocess of return is subject to a variety of noise interference, which makes the decline inimage quality, and improves the tracking difficult. PC or IPC as a kind ofgeneral-purpose equipment has integrated many independent parts with the trackingsystem components, so it increases the cost of system.If we put the whole process on the front end, it will follow up on the results and nota large image information returns control center, it will effectively overcome thesignificant weakness.This text putting forward the system of target tracking based on ARM9, which willintegrate the target detection and the tracking algorithm into the front end of ARM9. Italso put forward some new methods of detection and target association, which aresuitable for ARM9.The main work is as follows:(1) According to its target is range and search operation is difficult, it puts forwardthe methods, which combined with the detection and prediction. It through the targettrack to predict the next target, thus reduce search range, greatly improving thedetection speed.(2) According to the problem of translation, rotation, changing proportion fromtarget running process, it puts forward the target connection method,which is based onthe invariant moment.It through the moment invariant will aim to the geometricalcharacteristics of the into digital,and realize the target correlation.(3) According to the requirements of the target tracking system’s design, it hascompleted the configuration and build of the ARM9: including the cutting of LINUXkernel, the production of root file system, the loading of camera driving, theconfiguration of startup, etc. (4) The realization of tracking system will put the method of target detection andthe target correlation method of moment invariant to the ARM9platform. Thus it willtest their actual effect.
