Panoramic image stitching will be multiple overlapping area image to fulfill image stitching viewingangle flat image with area of360o. Panoramic image mosaic technology is a comprehensive technologyfield of image rendering, image processing and computer based on the geometry, due to the lowrequirements of hardware, good reality and other advantages, is an important research direction in thevirtual reality,3D reconstruction etc. Fisheye image through a fisheye lens mounted super wide angle onthe camera shot,having wide perspective,and imaging characteristics of nonlinear image,high efficiencythan ordinary visual image stitching required less,but the original image,splicing difficulty.This article describes the fisheye image stitching technology research background and fields ofapplications. Focuses on the image stitching technology fisheye effective region extraction and correction,projection transformation theory, SIFT matching and image fusion techniques and comparative analysis oftheir theoretical foundation, implementation, operational performance, and there are insufficient.Fisheye image deformation is serious, the first need to correction in accord with linear of imageshuman vision. Because the traditional method of latitude and longitude correction has still a vaulteddistortion problem, we propose progressive equation correction method, this method does not consider theuse of lens parameters to construct complex projection model, complete fisheye image correction,singleframe image visual effect is better and easier for splicing; According to multiframe image splicingproblem,considering the characteristic of fisheye image,each frame image is only part of the area to locatematching,SIFT feature of panoramic image stitching in this area, significantly reduce computationalcomplexity than global SIFT algorithm,takes the corresponding lower;To generate the actual scenerycoherent panoramic images,this paper adopts the cylindrical projection transformation,in order to solve theimage produce staircase phenomenon after projection transformation,this paper compares severalcommonly used algorithms,and uses the bilinear interpolation algorithm to solve the problem effectively;Inimage fusion processing,analysis and comparison of several classical algorithms,select enter gradually treatsplicing image fusion algorithms for processing,so that when the stitching images overlap transitionsmooth,seamless splicing,basic implementation in image processing speed and effect reaches a certainbalance.Finally, to facilitate the panoramic image understanding and observation,this paper also designed apanoramic bar around browsing the human-computer imteraction interface,realized the vertical180 dhs,level360dhs space surrounded by dynamic visual observation.
