One of the biggest characteristic of web application is the frequency change ofthe requirements. These changes are often directly impact on the web pages. A meet ofthe requirements with customers required testers check the requirements and theproducts time to time. During this process, if there without a flexible testingframework, in response to these changes in demand, the tests would take a high levelof energy and maintenance costs. When the entire product testing delayed, the wholeapplication’s iteration and release cycle would affected, and resulting in a great loss ofmeasure. From the frequency change of requirements with Web application development, this article is due to improve the web test automation framework research based onSelenium with loose-coupled. By separate the data module, control module andbusiness logic; realize the implementation of layered testing framework based onSelenium. According to reduce the coupling of the test scripts, enhance the flexibilityand the coverage of the test cases, positioning tracking scripts errors, we can cut thetesting cost, save the testing time and assurance the better quality of the products. This paper put forward with the calculation method for test coverage. Based onthis framework,we test with many Web system. These tests are includes the executionof test scripts in different browsers, the flexibility of combination, the function oftrace and trace with the errors and performance tests. This experimental results showthat, this framework can greatly improve the efficiency for testing, reducing overheadcosts, improved test coverage, high degree of positioning error. It improve that theusability of this framework and it also applicable in many different web applications.
