In this paper, we design a automatically detecting device for circulating tumor cell. Thedata that comes from this device are used to estimate the quantity of circulating tumor cells incancer patient’s peripheral blood, so that the doctor can make further diagnosis and treatment.Due to increasing causes of cancer, it makes harder for doctor working on diagnosing.How to diagnose cancer quickly and accurately has become a problem that bothers doctors allthe time. However, with the development of machinery electronics engineering, cell andmolecular biology, biomimetic materials science, clinical medicine and so on, it provides apowerful boost to solve those significant problems in biomedicine and in crossover and fusionbetween these subjects. And biological image detecting and analysis system can prove apublic research platform for these research areas. Biological image detecting and analysissystem has the ability of automated precise control(such as separation, enrichment, dyeing,etc.) and corresponding detection and analysis(such as location, activity, density, etc.) tobiological sample(such as cell, protein, DNA, etc.). In this paper, as a kind of biologicalimage detecting and analysis system, detecting system for circulating tumor cell has thoseadvantages. Starting with LabView, using immunofluorescent staining as technological means,using cancer cell suspension and cancer patient’s peripheral blood as the research object, usingmulti-way valve control circulating tumor cell dyeing system as technology platforms, thissystem can study circulating tumor cells(CTCS) in tumor cell line, artificial blood and cancerpatient’s peripheral blood.The study content in this paper is divided into three parts.(1)the design of hardware partfor CTCs detecting system: using STM32F107microprocessor as its core, this systemincludes mechanical control part, motor drive circuit, relay circuit, singnal-detecting circuit,system communication circuit, power supply circuit, etc.(2) the design of software part forCTCs dyeing system: the main function of software part in this system is to realize multi-wayvalve control dyeing process, CCD cameras capture image, data collection and communication, etc.(3)the design of PC computer image analysis software: a software withLabView is used to count and analyze images of CTCs.
