In recent years, with the development of3D vision, Microscopic stereo video display andstereo measurement technology continues to evolve. Microscopic stereoscopic technology whichaim at tiny objects spanning across such areas as medical treatment, project, biology digital visualand so on. Microscopic entities have small volume, require good precision, while observe andoperate microscopic entities researchers need to use microscope instead of observe directly byhuman eyes. Microscopic stereo vision system focus on get more realistic stereo video withmicroscope hardware, stereoscope correction algorithm, meanwhile achieve stereo measurementand restore3D information by imaging principle, matching and measurement algorithm.This paper discusses related problems in stereo display and stereo measurement, mainlyinclude following aspects:(1) Analyzing the research background and correlation technique,discussing the overall model of microscopic stereo vision.(2) Proposing fast stereoscope correctionalgorithm, resolving bad stereo display because of parallax between left image and right image,achieve perfect stereo display.(3) Extracting feature information and matching stereo image inorder to complete stereo measurement.(4) Increasing stereo measurement by structured light,proposing fixed angle stereo measurement algorithm according to stereoscope model whichincrease the measurement accuracy.(5) At last, it is summarized with the system and prospect ofthe future. The clients receiving and decoding microscopic data based on DirectShow framework,displaying by Samsung2233rz displayer, based on hardware foundation, mainly experimentspecimens are circuit board, leaf and chip resistor.The system experiment results show that while correcting single frame size1600×1200stereoimages, correction error is0.537%, correction time is40ms, stereo correction algorithm has shortcorrection time and high correction accuracy. While measuring hole height which single frame sizeis640×480, maximum error is±0.02mm at1magnification, maximum error is±0.02mm at2magnification. For single frame size640×480chip resistor stereo measurement, maximum error is±0.01mm at2magnification, All these results show the algorithm in this paper have lowererror,which can achieve the desired stereo measurement.
