Industry CT (ICT) system has very good properties of "discrimination", canacquire detailed tomographic images with defects detected, but the2D tomographicimages can’t show the detailed three-dimensional structure of the space in the finestdetails. So it has an important significance to study on The Volume renderingtechnology of ICT non-destructive testing for getting the internally spatial informationfrom the volume date.PC is presented in this paper, with the help of GPU’s technology of CUDA(Computer Unified Device Architecture), take full advantage of GPU accelerationparallel data processing capabilities and adopt CUDA programming model, Use theGPU as a synergistic processor of CPU to responsible for the large amount of dataoperation involved in the classic light projection algorithm of direct volume rendering,finally volume rendering is implemented quickly. In order to better observe the resultsof volume rendering, human-computer interaction of three-dimensional observation isessential.This paper make full use of the GLUT (OpenGL Utility Toolkit) place therelevant parameters adjustment of the volume rendering in the callback functions for thesystem calls, such as transparency, brightness, the window display related parametersand the input parameters of transfer function.After the carefully study on volume rendering’s basic principle based on CUDA,puts forward a new plane cutting algorithm of volume rendering based on CUDA, Andfurther tests have been carried out to verify the3D volume rendering clipping’s effect,through the plane clipping well show the details and effectively get the internalinformation within the tested object.A kind technology of NPVR(Non-photorealistic Volume Rendering,NPVR)isproposed in this paper,using the technology of image processing on the ICT data, basedon CUDA parallel acceleration strategy, adopts the classical light projection algorithm,finally to directly volume rendering for the castings’ ICT data.By the contrast of volumerendering’s effect showed in different aspects involved in its entirety,plane cutting andlocal amplification;We can get high quality image with fast speed and with thepreprocessed volume date used in the method Contrast finely with the original volumedate, which can be well complementary to display the characteristics of defects.
