The radio frequency identification (RFID) technology is the key technology andan important part of the Internet of Things perception layer.It is the focus of theInternet of Things "12th Five-Year Development Plan”.It is considered as a verypromising technology that can change our way of life. Along with the rise of theInternet of Things,security issues of RFID become increasingly important,especiallythe issues of how to protect the user’s privacy. Because it will affect the large-scaledeployment of RFID technology.RFID security protocol is the research focus on security issues in RFID.and howto use secure cryptographic algorithms on the RFID security protocol is also aconcern to many researchers. In this paper, a new chaotic neural network-based publickey algorithm RFID security protocol is proposed based on the research of RFIDsecurity status.Chaotic neural network-based public key algorithm combines the advantages ofthe network and chaotic systems.On one hand,it use the chaotic complex nonlinear toenhance the security of the algorithm,on the other hand, it utilizes the parallelprocessing capability of the neural network to improve the speed of the encryption,and it is suitable for FPGA to achieve its parallel computing.Chaotic neuralnetwork-based public key algorithm RFID security protocol can provide bettersecurity compared to the hash fuction based and the symmetric key encryption basedRFID authentication protocol.This paper describes the basic knowledge of the RFID system, analyzing theexisting threats and security issues of the RFID system,and introduces the RFIDsecurity solutions adopted strategy, particularly some of the existing cryptographicmechanism.and then doing a key research on the chaotic neural network-based publickey algorithm, and the algorithm design and implementation, then chaotic neuralnetwork-based public key algorithm RFID security protocol is proposed. Weintroduce the specific content of the protocol, the working principle, and FPGA hardware implementation. At the last of the paper,a the performance analysis isconducted,which includes algorithm security, a common anti-attack capability,encryption and decryption speed,etc.The analysis results show that the protocol canprovide better security and better performance for RFID systems, to provide userswith better privacy protection.
