Smart Home Context Aware Middleware Based On Event Matching

Smart home is the utilization of advanced computer, Internet, integrated wiring,automatic technology, integrating family hardware and software infrastructures tocombine the family smart controlling, information exchanges, consumer services andother life service effectively, achieve the perception of family environment informationand intelligent control of household facilities, provide home users with intelligent familylife services and build safety, convenience, comfort, environmental protection, intelligenthome environment. Internet of Things is the core infrastructure of smart home which isused to get status data of environment, devices and users. One of the key issues for smarthome service system is how to process real-time data from IoT layer rapidly and supplyan initiative service with precision, individuation and intelligence.Domestic and foreign large enterprises and research units have carried out relatedproduct development and technological research work of smart home, but these productsand technologies are targeted at certain smart home features to design and implement, sofar there has no mature smart home system model appeared yet. In this paper, we focuson the global smart home system and propose a smart home layer framework based onevent matching to recognize events through real-time data perceive and process, awarecontext information through event process and inference. High level service applicationsprovide users services with individuation and intelligence according to the contextinformation.The following of this paper is organized like this: firstly, we analyze the currentresearch of smart home, complex event process and context aware, and clear thedirection of study and system design and development. Secondly, we analyze the systemstructure of smart home, propose a smart home layer framework based on event matching,and detailing the data layer, event layer and context layer. Then we introduced themodeling method of smart home and give the types of sensor data and process method, the definition of atom event and complex event and the definition of smart home context.The fourth part of this paper introduces the algorithm of smart home complex eventprocess and context inference, and describes in detail the principles of smart homeinference engine. Finally, we analyze the structure of smart home context-awaremiddleware system, show functions of each module and verify the feasibility andeffectiveness through applications.
