With the enlargement of the network scale, the security problem of the inter-domaincollaborative network has been a focus of people. This paper analyzed the researchbackground of the merging conflict in the inter-domain collaborative network. Together withthe security need for network and application condition, we pointed out that the conflict issuebetween network and application systems can be a serious problem for the computer field.This paper adopted the RBAC model to express the application system need and used the Jsonprogramming language to express the network topology and the device rules of the topologynodes. First, we analyzed the relations between RBAC elements, gave out the definition ofapplication system domain need and the classification of the conflicts and then developed theapplication system domain merging conflict detection method based on the colored petri nettechnique. Second, due to the inconfirmity problem between network and application systemcommunication need, we built the model of the whole network topology based on the OBDDtechnique and achieved the communication merging conflict detection using the booleanfunction verification. At last, we designed and implemented a prototype system of mergingconflict detection between network and application systems. The system has been tested byour test cases in the experiment part.In this paper, we studied the technique of merging conflict detection between networkand application systems, then designed and implemented the prototype system. The content ofthe work is listed as follows:1. We analyzed the recent research of the merging conflict detection technique betweennetwork and application systems. We found that there are still some problems about thisresearch area.1) The RBAC model has many advantages such as good expression powerand easy to read and comprehend. But there are no researches about using RBAC modelto express the application system needs.2) The current conflict detection approach aboutnetwork devices only considered the rule conflicts within one device or between twoconnected devices. Few researches had thought about the rule conflict between multipledevices in a complex network topology. Moreover, the application system needs areneither considered. 2. According to the research objectives and research contents of this article, a mergingconflict detection resolution between network and application systems has been proposed.Based on the RBAC concept and conflict model, a domain merging conflict detectiontechnique is proposed based on colored petri net. Moreover, we made the definition aboutapplication system communication need based on the two-level model of networkadministration. At last, the conversion between higher need and lower need is discussedabout.3. The related technologies and key algorithms of merging conflict detection are presented,including the algorithm of domain merging conflict detection based on colored petri netand the algorithm of communication merging conflict detection baed on the OBDDtheory. We described the mechanism of algorithms in details, and the characteristics andthe performance of the algorithms are analyzed.4. The prototype system of merging conflict detection between network and applicationsystems is designed and implemented, including file pre-processing module, RBACmodeling module and the merging conflict detection module.5. According to the prototype system of merging conflict detection, a series of experimentalcases have been designed. Experimental results showed that based on the model betweennetwork and application systems, we can not only detect whether a merging conflictexists, but also provide the causes of conflict, conflict type and location information,which laid the foundation for further conflict resolution.
