Wireless sensor network is a new technology which mixes of various subjects ofknowledge. It can collect the information of observation objectives in the area by aself-organized manner through lots of cheap and low-power nodes and achieve remotewireless real-time monitoring and control to extend people’s ability to directly perceivethe objective world of physics. The potential value of wireless sensor networks hasattracted the high attention of the military field, academia and industry domestic andoverseas at present. It is considered to be one of the world’s most important technologiesin21century.Node localization is enabling technology in wireless sensor network technology. Itis the foundation of target tracking, monitoring and identification. The nature of theproblem is to make use of some algorithm or mechanism to determine the location ofunknown node based on the few known coordinates of the beacon nodes and achieve thepurpose of monitoring the specific events. Through the analysis of development statusof node localization in wireless sensor network technology, this paper points out thedifficulties of technical at present, such as localization algorithm is great influenced bythe field of environment, single structure, high complexity, power consumption andinstability in positioning error and so on. According to different classification criteria,this paper introduces some typical ranging technology and basic positioning algorithmsand methods in details through the analysis of wireless sensor network node localizationprinciple.According to the evaluation standards of location performance and the factorscaused location error, this paper first proposed optimization method of the node rangingbased on environmental perception. The basic principle is to use the Gaussian model tofilter the value of RSSI that is received signal strength from beacon nodes to unkonwnode and determine the signal propagation loss model parameters through mutualcollaboration between the beacon nodes. Combined with the optimized RSSI valuesfront, it can solve accurately calculate the distance between the unknown node to nodebeacon. Next, this paper proposes a node localization algorithm for WSN based onenvironment aware. The algorithm uses the mutual cooperation between the node andthe principle of the environment aware to put forward three kinds of positioningalgorithm to select according to the different connectivity. They are weighted centroidlocalization algorithm, Sampling optimization from the distance feedback localizationiterative algorithm and unknown node collaboration and upgrade localization algorithm.According to real-time connectivity nodes, three algorithms automatically andalternately select in different environments to achieve the reasonable node localizationaccuracy.Finally, this paper completes the above algorithm simulation and results analysisby matlab7.0. Simulation results show that each location algorithm can be good tocomplete the localization task and the accuracy is high in each of the corresponding environment. Compared to a single node localization algorithm, this approach is morein line with actual requirements. The article selects to ZigBee2006protocol stack as aframework to build system software architecture in order to transplant the algorithm tothe protocol stack.
