Panoramic video surveillance system is camera image video surveillance systemswhose monitoring range is360degrees in horizontal and180degrees in vertical. It extendsthe monitoring range of the traditional camera to360degrees. It can expand the surveillancevision greatly, and can replace multiple traditional cameras monitoring. With its highdefinition and stability, the panoramic video surveillance system has more extensiveapplications.A ship video surveillance system project is in the background of this paper. Thepanoramic camera is applied to this ship video surveillance system, making full use of itsadvantages. In naval vessels, the distance of signal transmission is short and rewiring isdifficult. And be inspired by the widespread popularity of shipboard power system, thepower line carrier technology is applied to ship communications. By comparison of theadvantages and disadvantages of the several commonly used power modulation anddemodulation techniques and as to the particularity of ship power line, the orthogonalfrequency division multiplexing (OFDM) technology is used to communicate in this system.It can ensure the stability, real-time and the security of the information by using this method.Because no additional wiring, it saves the cost at the same time.In order to further ensure the safety of personal and property, a target model updatealgorithm based on selective model update algorithm and Kalman filter is proposed. Thisalgorithm is applied to the tracking of moving targets. While using coordinate normalizationalgorithm programmed in MFC, the panoramic camera conducts the rotation of speed domecamera and achieves the linkage of the two cameras. Experiments show that the algorithmhas certain stability and good real-time performance for the moving targets that shapevariability and repetitive occlusion and reproduce.Finally, a set of panoramic video surveillance software is designed using the VisualC++. The main monitoring module, real-time monitoring module, database managementmodule are described in detail, and the algorithm combined selectivity model updating andCalman filter combination template matching algorithm with coordinate normalizationalgorithm is integrated in the system of computer monitoring software. The cabin movingtarget tracking, regional alarm and linkage function are accomplished in the end.
