As a new cpmputing and industry pattern, cloud compomputing bring a great impact onenterprise information systems constructing.Whether an information system is suitable formigration to the cloud is the most important issue placed in front of an enterprise that arewilling to construct a private cloud, however, there are not available qualitative&quantitative analytical methods. To address this issue, a simulation and analysis methodbased on architecture modeling is presented.The first phase of this method proposes12indicators affecting cloud migration, thenbuild information systems architecture models based on the Department of DefenseArchitecture Framework Version2.0(DoDAF V2.0), and create analysis method of workloadexchangement, coupling degree, network traffic, hardward consumption based on thearchitecture models. In order to verify the correctness and rationality of the DoDAFarchitecture, as well as getting the system response time, server utilization and data centerenergy consumption which are difficult to extract from DoDAF model but have some impacton migration, an interactive simulation platform based on Colored Petri Nets (CPN) andCloudsim is established. The platform architecture include simulation framework, interfacedesign and control process.On the one hand, applicating CPN technology to performmodeling&simulation of operating events flow described in the DoDAF architecture models;On the other hand, using Cloudsim to model infrastructure.As a typical system of a certain base, parking system is well to show the simulation andanalysis method based on architecture modeling. The architectural models of the system areestablished according to DoDAF V2.0, and the interactive executable models of CPN andCloudsim established based on constructed simulation platform. After the completion of themodel validation, considerating the impact of other applications on the parking managementsystem, design multi-scenario simulation program and execute Monte Carlo simulations forvarious scenarios. According to the simulation data and indicators analysed by the DoDAFmodels, the AHP is selected to evaluate the migration suitability of applications in the base.
