Capacitor is a high energy density of maintaining power, which can provide energy to laser devices and electromagnetic guns. Especially owing to its great advantages of high energy, strong cruising ability, short charging time and non-pollution, it has been new type of battery applied to the emerging electric automobiles in recent years. For these purposes, the research of the power sources for charging the super capacitors is more and more important. Compared with the traditional ways of constant voltage and resonant mode to charging the super capacitors, the way of constant current is great ideal at present.First, the paper has researched and deduced on the working principle and topological features of the single module of the LCC SPRC. In practice, in consideration of distributed capacitances of the high frequency and high voltage transformer, the circuit works at the state of SPRC. At the same time, meeting the conditions of the switching frequency less than the half of the resonant frequency, the circuit works at discontinuous current mode, which has the characteristics of the constant current power sources.On the basis of the theoretical analysis, the paper has calculated the important circuit parameters and modeled the large signal model and the small signal model of the main circuit. Then, the paper has designed the PFM controller to maintain the current at the state of constant. At last, the Matlab’s simulation proved the feasibility of the PFM controller. At last, the paper reasearched on the combining form of the dual modules’ input-parallel and output-series(IPOS). The paper adopted the dual loops of input-average power and output-average voltage to achieve the goal that the input-power is average and the output-voltage is average. The papers has designed the controller to realize the goal, and simulated it, which confirmed the controller’s validity under the conditions of the differences of the circuit’s parameters between the dual modules.
