With the development of multimedia technology and digital signal processingtechnology, as well as the depth of psychoacoustic research, people required to achieverealistic for video playback, at the same time, also set a higher request to the audioplayback.‘Telepresence’ has attracted attention and the virtual surround soundtechnology has become an important topic of research in the field of audio.Firstly, the paper described the development process of virtual surround sound,analyzed the current development and the redevelopment principle of virtual surroundsound.Also gave brief analysis and description for the theoretical foundation associatedwith virtual surround sound technology, which included the sound characteristics in therecording process, spatial hearing, HRTF, reverberation, etc.Then according to the characteristics of headphone playback, the reconstructionsystem of virtual surround sound based on headphone has been designed. Because ofthe important position of the reverberation in virtual surround sound technology, thepaper studied reverberation algorithm in-depth. Against defects of lacking considerationof air absorption characteristics to the high frequency signal in Schroeder reverberationmodel, and the actual situation of more complex structure in Moorer reverberationmodel, achieved an improved reverberation model based on FIR filter using corrugatedalgorithm. At the same time, some simulation experiments had been done.Finally, loudspeaker-based audio playback system has also been designed. Thepaper studied the difference signal of the left and right channels from the stereo signal,the equalization filter for adjusting parameters easily has been designed, to solve theproblem of sound quality deterioration due to the introduce addition of difference signal.And according to the HRTF principle, the3D virtual sound effect has been researchedand achieved using the algorithm of linear interpolation.The part of the simulation test for this thesis is completed under the MATLAB platform.The virtual surround sound system based on hesdset or speaker has beensimulated respectively,and listening experiments had been done in certain auditionenvironment.Test result indicated that the virtual surround sound has realized. |
