3D profile measurement and deformation measurement are very essential and important. Themethod based on binocular vision system has the characteristics of high precision, large range,non-contact, real-time on-line detection and can be applied to some special occasions thattraditional methods can not put into use, and in recent years,it has cause widely attention and rapiddevelopment. Aim at the profile detection of workpiece and deformation measurement ofhelicopter rotating blades, the study of three-dimensional morphology and deformationmeasurement based on binocular vision has been carried out.According to the principle of binocular vision measuring technology, Workpiece profilemeasurement based on the structure light and blade deformation dynamic measurement based ondigital image correlation and index point identification matching have been studied respectively. Inthree-dimensional morphology measurement, after detecting the laser stripe and matching withepipolar constraint, the slipper wear can be calculated, which effectively solve the problem of edgeextraction in complicated environment, and also improve the anti-jamming performance andsimplify the system structure and image processing. The dynamic deformation of rotating bladewas completed by means of digital image correlation and index point identification matching. Inthe digital image correlation method, the initial value selection in Newton Raphson iterationalgorithm was improved by using the SIFT feature matching combined with affine transformation,which solves the matching problem in the case of small angle rotation and accelerate thecalculation speed. The sub-pixel interpolation method using a classified look-up table speed up thecalculation further. To meet the measurement precision requirement of large field of view, theeffect of different system structure was analyzed with special experiment. According to the primarycalibration method which is not suitable when the images distorted distinctly, the calibrationmethod is improved. The system calibration and3D measurement software were developed withC#and MATLAB.
