Near Infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) has become popular for the past2-3decadesin the field of research. With the help of the near infrared spectroscopy, we cantransform the changes of the blood flow during brain activity or metabolic intocorresponding signals. As a non-destructive and high spatial and temporal resolutiontechnology, NIRS shows great potential in the domain of neurological and theclinical diagnosis of the nervous system disorders compared with other methods.Based on NIRS, a set of multi-channel, dual-wavelength cerebral dynamicparameters detecting system was designed and implemented in the dissertation. Thesystem consists of the following parts. Sensor probe equipped with integrated multi-wavelength LED as light source, and low-noise, high-gain OPT101as its lightdetector. The hardware circuit with C8051F020as its core MCU, controls the lightsource driver chip, which also functions in A/D acquisition, data processing, andserial communication. Using Lab Windows/CVI as application development platform, with compatibility and friendly interface, the software was easy to use. The temporalresolution can reach100ms, it could reflect the transient response of cerebraldynamic parameters well. The system was designed for testing the cerebral blood flow dynamics duringbrain activity or metabolic, so the experiments and tests for the system had beencarried out. Firstly, the Valsalva maneuver inducing the cerebral blood flow (CBF)stress adjustment was performed to assure that the property and accuracy of thesystem measurement was validate. Secondly, the system can be applied tononinvasive prefrontal cortex cerebral dynamic parameters detection, then, by meansof the mathematical logic operation tasks, the results proved that the measurementwas in accordance with theoretical inferences.
