By utilizing multi-path effect, MIMO-OFDM system can increase channel capacitysignificantly without extra band-width. But the performance of the wireless communicationheavily influenced by the wireless channel. So accuracy of channel estimation will affect theperformance of the whole system. The complicated and changeful mobile communicationchannel makes MIMO-OFDM system channel estimation challengeable. Base on thequestions above, this paper mainly studies the blind channel estimation for MIMO-OFDMsystem.First,this paper elaborates principle of MIMO-OFDM system,then analyzes the wirelesscommunication channel and the types of channel fading. Concentrate on the blind channelestimation, this paper focuses on two kinds of blind channel estimation. it is subspace channelestimation and linear precoding channel estimation. The paper mainly researches the linearprecoding channel estimation, then proposes some improvements under the two kinds ofchannel ambiguity: unifies the different channel ambiguity through cross-correlation matrix ofreceived signal; estimates channel through using all data of received signal cross-correlationmatrix. The improved algorithm has better performance than linear precoding channelestimation.
