The theory research of the Internet congestion control mechanism has been a hot issue inthe field of network research. The related theory research provides a basis for the reality ofnetwork congestion control technology. This paper bases on campus network congestioncontrol as the research background, combined the congestion control theory with congestioncontrol technology to low cost, high efficiency by solving common problems in the LAN(large and medium-sized local area network) congestion. In the process of studying, the writermainly analyzes the following several aspects:This paper first presents the definition of network congestion. It analyzes the generalreasons of network congestion, and summarizes the research status quo at home and abroadbased on the end-to-end and the intermediate equipment.Based on Panzhihua university as the research background, this paper analyze the specificreasons which brings about the network congestion of the LAN (large and medium-sized localarea network) from the aspects of virus, P2P traffic, the bottleneck link, etc., and gives thecorresponding solutions.This paper studies the measured standards of network congestion and detectiontechnology. Therefore, it mainly focuses on the network delay detection technology, whichcan better reflect the network congestion state. And meanwhile, the adaptive time delaydetection algorithm is proposed. Proved by lots of comparison with other similar algorithms,it shows that the efficiency, stability and accuracy of algorithm.This paper researches on the congestion control algorithm of CHOKe series. It perfectsthe CHOKe algorithm by combining the reality of network management from the minimumof algorithm convergence time, application effect, and the Internet users from the perspectiveof greedy algorithm. Therefore, the g-CHOKe algorithm is presented in this paper, and itssuperiority of the algorithm is verified by NS2simulation software.Finally, this paper contrastively analyzes and verifies the validity and practicability ofcongestion control strategies in the LAN (large and medium-sized local area network) basedon the campus network of Panzhihua university.
