Due to the change of climate and environment and the development of society, our country is in the earthquake-prone period now, so earthquake, flood, mine disaster and other disasters get frequently, disaster relief becomes an important topic. In rescue scene,the rescuers will be in danger and have no effective relief if their own security can’t be availably monitored. This situation will result in greater loss. The command center could understand rescuers’working conditions and security situation to ensure the relief personnel’s safety and implement the rescue work successfully if they could monitor the rescuers’working situation and position timely and accurately.Safety monitoring system is mainly composed of three parts, such as industrial control based on ARM, DSP data processing module and monitoring terminal. This paper has completed the design scheme of monitoring terminal and designs the corresponding hardware and software based on the technology of embedded system, MEMS sensor and ZigBee. The completed work is as follows.(1) Complete the design of monitoring terminal after researching the overall design of safety monitoring system used for disaster relief personnel.(2) Complete the design of the monitoring terminal’s hardware circuit through the analysis of the monitoring terminal’s needs for each module, and complete the hardware circuit design for many modules, such as microprocessor, NANDFLASH, MPU6050sensor, magnetic sensor, reset switch, power and CC2530-ZIGBEE.(3) Complete the hardware debugging of the circuit board as well as the debugging of CC2530module for ZIGBEE protocol. Realize the wireless communication between two monitoring terminals by using the debugging software of IAR and COM.(4) Finish the design of the monitoring terminal’s software after the completion of the debugging for the hardware circuit. The software of monitoring terminal includes two parts,the procedures of initialization and algorithms. In this paper, we complete the chief parts of initial procedures and partial algorithms.
