Research About Research Methods For Creative Computing In Educational Software Design

The meaning of Creative Computing is to use ideas, theory, principles or methods fromother disciplines to develop software. Creative Computing is very popular in recent years andhas great potential. Therefore, the aim of my research is to contribute to the application ofCreative Computing in the development of educational software.Educational software development includes many phases like: Requirements Analysis,Software Design, Software Programming, Software Maintenance and so on. The phase thatmy research focuses on is Educational Software Design.The discipline that my research based on is Product Design.To summarize, the meaning of Creative Computing in Educational Software Design inmy research is to use ideas, theory, principles or methods from Product Design to designeducational software.As this is a new research field, good research methods would be perfect directions toachieve the goal of this field.In my research, I studied the creative directions of educational software design methodsfirstly. And then, I received the definition and taxonomy of research method by studyinggeneral research methods. According to this definition and taxonomy, under the creativedirections, I designed the new specific research method for creative computing in education.Finally, I used it in an example.Therefore, the contribution of my research is to propose a research method for guidingthe research of creative educational software design methods under the guidance of creativedirections.The defect of my research is that the study of educational software design methods isinsufficient.
