X-ray has the ability to reveal substance of molecules and atoms. X-ray detectiontechnology has been widely used in the social applications, such as industrial areas, themedical field, the security field. In the security field, the X-ray is mostly used to checktravelers carried items as a radiation source. Compared with other security equipments, theX-ray security equipment has the superior performance, lower cost, smaller radiation dose,which can meet the needs of various stations passenger traffic. Therefore, based on the X-raydetection technology used in the field of railway stations, airports and other security moregenerally.The topic treatment object is X-ray image. The conventional X-ray detection system candetect some of the greater density of items, such as guns, knives, and so on.But there isdifficult to identify for the lower density of items (such as kerosene, ethanol, etc.). Therefore,adopting a kind of new method which using shape matching that mainly include imagereconstruction,image preprocessing, image segmentation, mathematical morphologyprocessing,image matching process when the average effective atomic number is greater thanor equal to10items; using s characteristic curve to identify dangerous goods when averageeffective atomic number is less than10items.First of all, this paper expounds the X-ray images of formation and characteristics basedon the theory of X-ray detection technology, analyzes and compares with selecting methodsof X-ray technologies for security field at present, discusses the X ray technique which isapplied to the principle of security field, summarizes fault and residual detection problemsappeared in the process of testing.Secondly, the thesis proposes a new method of the station dangerous goods detectionbased on the X-ray image. According to the existing test methods are simple, the paperpresents a new edge detection method of shape combined with characteristic curve to detectdangerous goods.According to the existing security personnel has the problem of bigworkload and low testing efficiency, this paper establishes standard database of dangerousgoods to automatic identiy and detect dangerous goods.Then, the paper processes the experimental simulation to the station X-ray image. Thepaper selects two kinds of dangerous goods as the subjects. For the goods which averageeffective atomic number is greater than or equal to10items, this paper comprehensivelyintroduces the process of detection of dangerous goods from the image reconstruction, imagesegmentation and image matching. For the dangerous goods which average effective atomicnumber is less than10items, the paper uses the matching method based on the effectiveatomic number of the characteristic curve.Two methods of combining detection prove that there is obviously superior to the traditional single detection method. The experimental resultsshow that the method of dangerous goods detection combined shape with characteristics curvecan be more comprehensive to identify dangerous goods and avoid major accidents todangerous goods in any state.Finally, the paper uses OpenCV technology to achieve the function of the stationdangerous goods detection and complete the design of dangerous goods detection systeminterface.
