As to the problem of the traditional cartoon painting suffered from not only the place anddevice, but also the long develop period and low efficiency, the method of cartoon renderingwith color image was researched. In some program of CCTV, The famous pous was translatedinto cartoon style which was popular in audience. According to analyze the character ofcartoon painting and color image, the method of color image rendering with cartoon stylebased on contour segmentation was proposed. Taking account of the special properties ofcartoon painting, the two factors in image which must be regarded were contour and evencolor in district. Firstly, the contour in image should be extracted and was closed completely.And then the district was segmented and colored with the even color which can integrate theimage to the cartoon painting. The experimental results demonstrated that this method has thesuperiority of overcoming the color skip and stripe because of the contour closing comparedwith the method of scanning line.(1)First of all, the image of cartoon rendering technology research background andsignificance, research status, basic principle, research content and so on basic knowledge, aswell as comprehensive on the introduction(2)we introduce the image to learn relevant knowledge, and the characteristics of thereal-time rendering technology, content and application, and then separately analyzed thescene rendering acceleration method and the method of how to make a rendering more closeto reality.(3)In view of the traditional cartoon style image rendering production limited by place,equipment, and rely on artificial drawing of long cycle, low efficiency, studied the TV cartoonstyle image rendering method, and a simulation analysis was carried out.(4)Finally we summarize the main work accomplished in this paper, and point out that thefurther research direction...
