Group animation is a kind of technology about simulation research on the group behavior through thecomputer, and it gradually becomes mature with the development of computer graphics. Describe things inthe form of animation as needed, not only can clearly reflect the course of events, showing a more realisticpicture, but also increase people’s understanding of group behavior to a certain extent. The GroupAnimation is very imaginative, plasticity, vividly, which is widely used in TV commercials, movie specialeffects, the assessment of public safety, military simulation, game design, educational presentations andmany other fields. Therefore, group animation has played a big role in social development and humanprogress.The early animation mainly by means of manual drawing and key frame, and the limitations of thesetechnologies make the the group animation cost a lot of manpower, money and time, but also can notguarantee the intelligence of the role and the authenticity of group behavior. Thus, the group animationresearch based on intelligent algorithm has gradually attracted the attention of scholars. Character, settingand role behavior are the three main components of the group animation, which are also key factors toanimation. Rapid and effective role generating method, and vivid group behavior represent the quality ofthe animation. Based on the above factors, this paper mainly work are as follows:(1) Improvement of AFSA: This paper describes the fundamentals structure processes and relatedresearch of several intelligent optimization algorithms. On the basis of the analysis of the advantages anddisadvantages of artificial fish swarm algorithm, we use convergence and divergence behavior in sociallearning mechanisms to improve it, and overcomes the problems slow search speed in the last period forartificial fish swarm algorithm and inclination to local optimum, which improve the search performance ofthe algorithm to some extent.(2) Construction of three-dimensional scene and role: This paper introduces the basic theory ofthree-dimensional animation software, and finishes three-dimensional scene based on the detailed analysisof the the Maya related functions and three-dimensional scene modeling processes. Based on a humanskeleton structure, we use B-spline structure to construct basic character models, pass down and update theestablished basic model with three basic operations of the genetic algorithm, selection, crossover and mutation to get more than one role model.(3) Integration of animation groups: take consideration of collision detection and obstacle avoidance,improving artificial fish swarm algorithm for path planning and design of group behavior, and then the pathdata will be imported into Maya, selecting the tools provided by Maya will establish a good role,three-dimensional scene, as well as planning the path integration, and the relatively groups animation.
