As the rapid development of IP networks, traffic engineering has become a hottopic in communications industry, the main purpose of which is to optimize networkperformance and traffic transmission as an important mechanism. Firstly Qos of thebusinesses need to be ensured. Secondly, the flows of businesses should be allocated asbalanced as possible for rational use of network resources. As a result, the main methodof improving IP networks performance is looking for the effective routing for eachbusiness. However, in the process of optimizing routing all QoS of businesses may notbe satisfied, or link congestion may be caused for unreasonable routing on singletopology. Research based on the multi-topology routing IP network traffic engineeringoptimization method can solve the above problems.Multi-topology routing technology is designed to be configured according to thedifferent needs of different topologies. The second chapter of this paper studies how todesign a multi-topology routing to make the network business meet the QoS of business.First of all, the QoS of business could be the constraint in order to determining themulti-constraint routing for each business. However it may affect other routings whileensuring one routing on single topology, so we map these conflicting service routings tothe different logic topologies and re-configure the appropriate link weights. And therequirements of QoS of businesses could be ensured on a number of different topologies.Multi-topology technology can solve the weight optimization of IP network with therequirements of multi-QoS constraints, and make up the defect of single topologyoptimizing network performance by routing. From the results of our simulation we cansee a number of logic topologies which satisfy multi-constraint routing requirementscan be generated correctly and efficiently by the use of the column generationalgorithm. In addition, in order to alleviate the link burden and prevent from link blocking, thethird chapter of this paper studies the optimization methods of IP network trafficengineering base on multi-topology routing. Traditional optimization methods of IPnetwork traffic engineering only focus on solving the problems of how to minimize the maximum link utilization on the given demand matrix case. On the conditions ofexisting several different demand matrixes, the flows are separated onto multipletopologies in order to reduce the maximum link utilization greatly. And the optimizationmethod base on MTR performs better than that of the OSPF.
