The rapid development of mobile communication technology makes people’s lifebetter and more convenient. As people pay more attention to the quality of life, theBody Centric Wireless Network(BCWN) becomes more popular. The BCWN is a wire-less network made by some electronic equipment around human body. The equipmentconnects with each other through the wireless network. At the same time in order tomake the user comfortable, the equipment must be intersected. They are either wearableor implanted into the human body. With the help of the BCWN the medicine, militaryforces outfits, personal identification, navigation or entertainment will become better. How does the Body Centric Wireless Network work? In our opinion the wearableantenna is one of the most important keys. In the BCWN antenna is necessary becausethe equipment must connect with each other with the help of the wireless network. Be-cause of the particularity of the BCWN, common antennas can’t work very well. Sostudying the wearable antenna is the urgent affairs. In this dissertation firstly we introduce the research background and the current re-search situation. We present several problems which are the most important, and we de-cide our research direction. Then as the wearable antenna works near human body, it’s an essential part of de-signing antennas to study the electromagnetic parameters of the human body. In order toget it we need to master the method of measurement of general media. So we describe amethod of measurement of general media. In the third chapter we study the E-textile antenna with a flexible substrate. Wefind that the performance of antenna changes mostly when we bend the feeding portionby bending the simulation model and the real results. This result guides us to avoidbending of the feeding part in our future research. At last, in order to reduce the interaction between wearable antenna and humanbody, we introduce the Electromagnetic Band Gap (EBG) to the wearable antenna field. We choose a special dual-band EBG structure for the wearable antenna field. By com-paring the simulation and test results, we can see the protective effect of EBG structure of human body and the enhancement of the performance of the antenna clearly.
