This paper mainly discusses the performance of the high accurate DOA estimationalgorithms for nonuniform array. The nonuniform array takes the advantages of higherprecision and lower cost with few array elements.Firstly, the array structure, signal model and noise model are given, and themechanism of the manifold ambiguity was discussed in detail. Based on theseanalysises, some methods for resolving the manifold ambiguity are presented.Secondly, the principle of the Phase-interferometer algorithm was given, and thentwo classical DOA estimation algorithms, MUSIC and ML, for nonuniform array werediscussed.Then,the performances of several DOA estimation algorithms, Minimum-redundancy linear arrays for pseudodata-based direction of arrival, Estimation the angleof arrival of phase-coded signal based on nonuniform linear array, and wideband signalDOA estimation based on the L type nonuniform array,are compared.The performances of uniform and nonuniform array are compared in terms ofdirection pattern, angle resolution, angle resolution accuracy and anti-noise ability.At last,on the basis of previous analysis and in combination with engineeringpractice,this paper conducts software design based on MUSIC algorithm,provides thesimulation result,establishes non-uniform array based on the sub-array,defines thestructure of the array,and finally conducts simulation and measurement of the array.
