The microwave power amplifiers are the key equipments of modern wirelesscommunication, which are widely used in navigation, radar, satellite communication,wireless communication and electronic warfare, etc. In modern communication system,the microwave power amplifier plays an important role. Its performance directlyinfluences the quality and distance of communication, etc. The microwave solid poweramplifiers characterized by high reliability and longevity life, have been more and moresubjected to the favor of the communication system, and the technique have beenmaking great progress in recent decade.This thesis introduces the research, design, realization of the L-band1500WCW(Continuous Wave) solid-state power amplifier, and designes the combine scheme,and discusses the main technical indicators,and studies the key technologies, anddesignes and simulates the main modules.Design to adopt dynamic impedance matchingand ADS large signal model simulation method based on LDMOS power tubeimpedance matching and design a L-band150W CW microwave amplifier module anda L-band30W CW microwave amplifier module; Adopt microstrip balun to carry ondividing and combining,not only improving the module even harmonic suppression butalso raising the module coincidence indicator,Adopt the radial line method to design alarge four power combiner, and use HFSS to simulat, carrying out L-band low-loss highpower combine; Adopt ICEPAK software to design a high efficiently radiator, andthrough the actual test prove the radiator,and simulate the layout of module inside themachine box,and carry out the whole machine efficiently heat elimination; Adoptcomprehensive control protection circuit,such as over excitation protection,overtemperature protection,over VSWR protection,over-current protection, unbalanceprotection,and all thsis ways can raise the reliability of power amplifier.Through the detailed design and specific project implementation,eventuallydeveloped the L-band1500W solid state continuous wave power amplifier.Finally thepower amplifier was debugged and tested,in960MHz~1215MHz band, CW outputpower Pout≥1600W, gain G≥66.1dB, harmonic suppression≥32dBc, the input VSWR≤1.3:1, and the results can meet the use requirements.
